Hi, my name is Laura McConnell and I am very happy to say I am the first Lonely Pets Club Franchisee in Sydney, having taken over the Vaucluse area. I'm also currently looking after pets in the Lonely Pets Club Central Sydney and Lonely Pets Club Paddington areas.

I have always had a huge love and respect for all animals and a strong bond with them. I grew up with animals and have always had them as a big part in my life. I am the very proud owner of Betty a five year old tabby whose hobbies include window sitting, sunbaking and chasing balls.

I have lived in Sydney all my life apart from a three year stint in the United Kingdom. I have lived in the eastern suburbs of Sydney for over six years and I am happy to call it home.

I have worked as a veterinary nurse for four years. For three of those years I was working as a specialist surgical nurse. I also worked as a volunteer at an animal refuge in Bolivia where my responsibilities involved caring for naughty monkeys and a shy puma.

I find being able to work with animals on a daily basis extremely rewarding and fulfilling. Working in a veterinary clinic you see many animals come in for boarding and it makes you realise that many animals would be so much happier and content if they could be cared for in their own home, with their own familiar sounds, sights and smells around them. This is why I jumped at the chance to be involved with the important service that the Lonely Pets Club team provides.

To be surrounded by animals all day and to give them the love, care and attention they deserve is my dream job which has come true through Lonely Pets Club.

Besides animals my other interests include surfing, dancing, trying to learn Spanish, cooking, reading and gardening. I love being outdoors and keeping fit and healthy.

I am dedicated to providing the best care possible to all the pets in my area. I am reliable, trustworthy and professional. I will go that extra mile every time for your pet's welfare and happiness. My top priority is an animal's well being, I get so much satisfaction from making animals happy and I will make sure I do everything I can to ease their time when their owners are not there.
