Refer a Friend to Help Lort Smith!

Until the end of September 2009, we will donate $10 to Lort Smith for every new member who mentions the Party for Strays when they make their first booking.

To be a part of this year's Party for Strays you could:

  • Organise a Party for Strays fund raising party,
  • Refer a friend to Lonely Pets Club & we'll donate $10 on your behalf (make sure they mention Party for Strays when they book) - the more friends you refer, the more we will donate, or
  • Make a donation via the Party for Strays website.

Party for Strays is Lort Smith's major fundraiser for the year.

Every year Lort Smith helps over 100,000 animals, providing medical and emergency care to the much loved pets of people in crisis and in need. As a not for profit animal hospital that receives no government funding, donations help the many animals that have been victims of neglect, and sometimes cruelty, that also come through Lort Smith's Hospital doors.

Lort Smith's shelters work tirelessly to re-home the thousands of animals that find themselves in their care every year. Lort Smith works in partnership with other animal welfare organisations, striving towards a common goal of minimizing pet euthanasia.

Lort Smith survives through the generosity of its supporters.

How much can we raise?

$150 will vaccinate a litter of abandoned kittens against cat flu.
$300 covers the cost of desexing a dog so that he can be rehomed.
$500 will pay for urgent medical treatment to fix a broken bone.
$1000 will fund our kitten foster program for a month.
$5000 will provide a week's worth of emergency care for 50 animals caught up in domestic violence.
$10,000 will feed 250 dogs or cats in our shelter for a month.

Lonely Pets Club is striving to raise at least $1000 during the Party for Strays fund raising drive, which runs until the end of September 2009.
