Customers sometimes question why our service costs more over peak periods such as Easter and Christmas. This is a fair question that deserves an answer.
There are many overheads in running a quality pet care service such as ours. We are not just paying our wonderful carers, we have many other expenses including an office staffed Monday to Friday during working hours, plus management and IT staff to ensure proper care of all your booking information.
In our busiest month of the year, demand increases 300% when compared to our quietest month. If we did not have a peak surcharge, we could not provide a professional, quality and reliable service over the rest of the year when demand is lower.
You'll find that most industries with seasonal fluctuations in demand charge more at peak times, such as airlines and hotels. The pet care industry is no different, with kennels and catteries also becoming more expensive. Demand at Christmas in particular is much greater than the rest of the year and most customers don't mind paying more. We therefore offer our service at a lower price for the rest of the year, knowing that we can make up the difference during peak periods.
